What is the difference between Grade A handles and Grade B handles?

There's almost no more iconic of an axe than a good trusty double bit! This handle is as pure of a double bit handle as they come. 30 inches of air dried American Hickory shaved down to a comfortable and ergonomic workhorse. These axes have been hand picked by our talented axe swinging staff to ensure they can carry our "Whiskey River Premium Select" label. Any double bit would be privileged and proud to be given the opportunity to by hung upon this handle!

The dimension of the eye is: 3/4" x 2 3/4".

If you really want to add some character to your new hang pick up a walnut wedge!

You can also grab an extra poplar wedge if you want too!

Every axe handle comes with the proper wedge!

My Grandpas Double Bit Kelly True Temper

I LOVE IT ! I received the handle , and was very impressed with the QUALITY ! Very nice piece of hickory and it is considered "B" grade according to how you grade your handles, I can't Imagine how "A" grade could be even Better. Keep up the Awsome job your all doing ! Crack and grain

Received this double bit “premium grade A” handle that appears to fall below the companies stated specs of grade A. Won’t put this on the intended axe but may save it for a cheaper axe or spare handle. Grain orientation was closer to and possibly greater than 30 and there was a crack in the handle at the **** and a flat/smashed spot on the opposite side and the shipping box was not damaged. will add that I had a hatchet handle in the same order and I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a better looking handle for what it’s worth.. this handle was more important to me though.
