Hatchet Handles - Whiskey River Premium Select

A hatchet is the tool that gets used more than any other in camp, on the homestead, and out in the wood lot. Which means the handle takes more abuse per square inch than just about anything else in your kit. It gets left in the truck. It gets swung hard in cold weather. It gets used by whoever picked it up off the tailgate. The handle has to be right.

The replacement hatchet handles in this collection are hand-selected the same way we pick every handle we sell: grain orientation first, tenon second, ergonomics third. We are not pulling these off a pallet and shipping them out. Someone on our team has looked at each one.

We carry handles to fit Scout hatchets, Hudson Bay hatchets, belt hatchets, camp hatchets, and specialty patterns. Lengths run from 12 to 19 inches depending on the head you are fitting. American hickory across the board, with some birch and specialty wood options mixed in for guys who want to dress up a restoration or just try something different.

If you broke the original handle on your Council Tool, picked up a bare head at an auction, or are finally fixing that hatchet that has been sitting in the garage with a cracked handle for the last two years, this is the place to start. Grab a wedge while you are here. You will need one and ours are worth having.
