A dual grit ceramic puck stone in the acclaimed Arctic Fox sapphire ceramic blend on one face with a coarser grey face for a one-two punch when field sharpening axes, machetes, and other tools. The grey ANSI 240 grit face will rapidly erase scratch marks from a file, while the icy blue ANSI 400 grit side will bring the edge to a hazy mirror finish that easily shaves. Readily absorbs and retains water, with a thin film on the surface to keep the pores of the stone free of metal fines. Cuts quickly, yet leaves a fine finish.
Proudly Made in the USA!
Not sure, have not used it enough really be giving a review.
…. not really sure what you want me to say… it’s a round, dual grit, sharpening stone. Oh yeah… it has a cool logo on it to remind me where I got it. I think the ratio of puck price to emails received is about 1:1 at this point. Please calm down; it’s really just a fancy round rock!
As advertised, or better. Well pleased; handle and all... thanks Whiskey River.
The puck works wonderfully and keeps my axes razor sharp with minimal effort.
I can get faster and better results with a file followed by my diamond plates. I never had a puck before and now I know why I didn't need one. These are to take with you if you are in the forest and need a quick touch up. It is so much slower than a file. I tried it with water and without, it is still too slow.
