Every handle in this collection is hand-selected by our team for straight, tight grain, proper tenon thickness (more meat than you'll find anywhere else at this price), and the right hang geometry for the job it's built for. We carry American hickory because hickory earns it: better shock absorption than ash, tougher than oak, and it ages beautifully in your hand. You'll also find birch, Osage orange, purpleheart, and specialty woods for the guys who want something that looks as good as it works.
