What is the difference between Grade A handles and Grade B handles?
This is a wonderfully slim and ergonomic 28" dried hickory boys axe handle. In my opinion the 28" boys axe is one of my favorite length and weight for an axe set up. Each of these handles are hand picked by our team to ensure they are of the highest quality!

Perfect thanks bud
This handle worked well going onto a boy's axe head that I had. I got the lower grade handle; it is not completely straight and has a little crack in the handle up towards the eye which I hope won't lengthen or cause problems down the road. Other than that, I like the handle for the price.
Just right for a 2 1/4 pound Plumb boy's axe. Grain fairly straight, with a bit of run out grain on the sides,
but it looks good. Finished it with my mixture of 60% boiled linseed oil, 40% mineral turpentine, colored
with brown shoe polish to highlight the grain.
Feels great paired with GB carpenters axe. Love it. It’s one of the few B grades I have from Whiskey River and I have no complaints.
This replacement handle is better than the original handle that came with my Collins ax. Smooth texture and clear grain top to bottom. Very satisfied with the quality and price of this handle.
