It forms a clear, hard coating that flexes instead of cracks and buffs to a beautiful shine. Two waxes work together to make it happen: one that grips the surface tight, and one that delivers a deep, glossy shine even harder than carnauba wax. The oil base gives it a smooth, creamy feel that works its way into every groove and texture of uneven surfaces.
The oil is a premium heat-treated safflower oil. It is light in color and hardens over time by forming a natural polymer on the surface. Fine artists have used safflower oil in paints for centuries because, unlike linseed oil, it does not yellow over time. That means the natural look of your handle stays true.
It does take a little longer to fully cure than some other oils, but the finished result is tough and long lasting. Want to speed things up? Sunlight or a UV lamp will cure it faster with no chemicals needed.
