You can now order 16" curved or 22" Straight Versions!
The Council Tool Camp Carver was designed with the campsite and the survivalist in mind. The Camp Carver head is hefty enough to accomplish tasks like limbing and fashioning camp tools and camp infrastructure from smaller trees and windfall. Once you have your campsite comfortable and set up the Camp Carver can keep you entertained by using it to carve anything you want! Whether that be a beautiful new spoon or a barbed spear for fishing! It has a comfortable beard on the axe for carving and making feather sticks and a hardened pole for doing things like pounding metal tent stakes and wedges! This heirloom-quality tool will quickly find its way into the books of bush-crafting legend!
Although they carry the same head - the 22" Straight handle is a completely different beast of on axe. You can still carve with the 22" version but the extra length helps increase its number of effective uses around camp. Unlike a normal straight handle, this handle has a slight curve to it that makes it much more ergonomic and comfortable in hand. Both axes are amazing on their own but they were really designed to be carried as a pair. Where one axe falls short the other length is there to step right in!

I absolutely LOVE my Axe. Wish I would have bought it a long time ago. The pictures on the the site do no justice to how gorgeous this thing is. Good up the good work ladies and gents you have some Damn fine products 😁🤘🏻
Overall, I like the axe, but the handle is a little wide for my hands an, like the bushcraft pack axe , the 1st time I used it hard the head came loose. I think a round metal wedge would have prevented this. In both cases I rehafted the axes with a round metal wedge to top it off and had no problems sunce
It is a all around great America axe for the buck, nice and sharp good head weight and great wooden handle I'm happy with my purchase thanks Whiskey River Art & Trading.
What can I say? Great hatchet for a great price. Hopefully I can learn to keep up with it 😎
Like it. The handle is a little deep in the hand vertically but that is fixable. I did like the length. Only used it to split some live oak for barbecue wood. Did a good job.
