What is the difference between Grade A handles and Grade B handles?

I put this handle on a one-off hatchet head because the handle matches the eye dimensions. A little sanding to fit the handle and several applications of Boiled Linseed Oil and I've got a good serviceable hatchet.
This hatchet handle fit like a glove on my Plumb hatchet head. It’s sturdy and fits beautifully in the hand. I couldn’t be happier with it.
