We use this bit guard to store and ship all of our axes. This heavy duty rubber gives your blade protection and more importantly provides you protection from the blade!
This guard is thick enough that even the sharpest axes wont cut through in a typical storage/shipping situation. Get rid of that flimsy cardboard.

The rubber blade guard is an interesting product. I've not found one single axe that it didn't work very well on and it will help me in shipping. I always worry something's going to come out the side of the package cuz you don't want to send anything out dull.
So far so good. It is a friction fit. These would be fantastic for a drawknife, bigger chisels, etc.
Received my first ones fromC.-T.s with pak-axes only. You protect your handle why not your HIDE and bit? I love it!
I like the thickness of the guard to protect my two ax heads but it does not stay in place unless I secure it with a thick rubber band
Very handy to have around. It's thick and robust yet cuts clean and easy with a razor blade. I always try to keep some on hand for those projects that I don't have proper sheaths for, and those that reside in my tool drawers as is.
