From the Walrus Oil Website:

"Every woodsman and woodworker worth their salt knows an axe must be kept rust-free, and well oiled. That’s why Walrus Oil teamed up with Peter Buchanan-Smith, the founder of Best Made Co. and author of Buchanan-Smith’s Axe Handbook to formulate the perfect conditioner to bring old hatchets and axes back to life and properly maintain them for decades of use. Made with all-natural ingredients including coconut oil, carnauba wax, and beeswax, it conditions both the handle and axe head, naturally restoring original character while protecting your axe with a water-repellent wax. This “all-in-one” axe oil goes on like a gel, and because it contains no linseed oil, the product won't gum up on the axe head.

Great stuff

Some of the best oil I’ve ever used to rub down my freshly hafted axes. Coats the wood nicely and also protects the steel axe head.

I love this stuff!

Counter intuitively within the axe building community, I very much dislike BLO (Boild Linseed Oil). This Walrus Oil- Axe Oil is really great stuff though! It soaks into the wood much easier, as it is pretty light, and provides a great finish on the wood. I generally will add a wax, in addition after it has had time to soak in, to seal all that Axe Oil in! What I really really like it for and what I use it most for is the steel. Get this, after a 4-6hrs soak, you wipe it away and so does any stress you may have when it comes to rust! It wipes away clean too! It is Oil, but it wipes away very clean very little streaking. Get some!

Puts a nice natural shine on axe heads with no strong chemical odor or greasiness. Use it on a bunch of other tools too and love it
