Pack the punch of a workbench mounted grinder with you everywhere you go with this impressive file. The Monolith is there for you when you need to fix seriously rusted or injured axes, knives, and machetes.
You may or may not be familiar with our popular Grizzly Stick sharpening stone. It was and is a great stone but it had one major weakness. It was long and brittle. This means that shipping it was a nightmare and even when it was packaged very well there was still a big chance of the mailmen snapping it. (I mean we all know how gentle they can be right?)
The Monolith is made of the same amazing abrasive materials as our Grizzly Stick but it solves the issue of fragility with sheer size.
Made from ultra-course silicon carbide in a ceramic bond this hand file is willing to easily bite into and cut through your toughest edge restoration!
I know you don't want to admit it but it happens to us all, maybe it was a miscalculated swing, maybe it was a nail embedded in a log, or maybe you swung too hard and sent your axe straight through your firewood and your chopping block, managing to bury the bit in the dirt. (I know this last one is the ONLY way I ever damage my axes). Instead of tossing that axe to the side or ceasing work to take it for a spa day up at the bench grinder why don't you just let The Monolith handle that for you!

Glad I jumped on this when I did. A very good sharpening tool, and seems very robust. I gave this a run on a couple different knives and my trail axe, and was very pleased with the results. I was not initially a fan of the curved design, but found it to be very useful.
