Both of our Adirondack Handle lengths are temporarily discontinued while we redesign them to better represent historical examples we have come across. If you you have an original Adirondack handle that you would like to send us photos feel free to email us photos and measurements at
In the meantime if you want an explanation of the practical use and history of the Adirondack handle check out the video below!
Howdy. Curious why you do not make bottom
of handle symmetrical- as is - one side taper
stops hand from sliding off naturally
The other side has has a bump
Most double bit handles are parallel with out
a taper- Just an observation
But why isn’t the bottom symmetrical?
Great grain direction, very straight, and overall quite pretty! Would buy again.
I'm very pleased with this handle as well! Grain orientation is perfect. I will be putting a Collins double bit axe head on this handle.
One of the best handles I've ever used, excellent eye fit. Well balanced, and perfectly suited for chopping and grubbing.
