Free of lacquer and wax and the ends of them are sealed with log seal helping each board be less susceptible to humidity changes during shipping and storage.
This hickory is top tier and kiln dried. Grain orientation and run out was selected to the best of our ability at the time of cutting to length.
There are no guarantees against internal defects such and knots, wormholes and color changes.

I ordered grade A and paid the extra premium for it. Once received I began my project. After tracing out my template, I made my cuts. I was very happy with how it was turning out. The blank arrived with blue protective coating to each end. After I did my work I cut off each end to find it's not straight grain. Not even close. Not even 45 degrees. My first purchase with the company and it didn't meet my expectations for what I paid for. On a side note...the wedges I ordered (purple heart) were nice.
